Terms of Service

Last updated:

These terms govern your use of WaterproofingIndex, a directory of Greater Toronto Area basement waterproofing, foundation and drainage businesses. By using WaterproofingIndex, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Effective date: August 4, 2026.

What is WaterproofingIndex, and what does it not do?

WaterproofingIndex is an information service. We publish listings, rankings and guides compiled from public sources so you can find and compare local businesses. We do not take requests, do not pass your details to anyone, and do not refer, match or introduce you to any business. You contact whoever you choose, directly. WaterproofingIndex performs no work itself and is not a party to any agreement you make with a business you find here.

Is the listing and ranking information guaranteed?

WaterproofingIndexinformation is provided on an as-is basis. We work to keep listings, ratings and pricing accurate, but we do not warrant that any detail is complete, current or error-free, and rankings are our editorial opinion based on a published formula. A high rank is not a certification, endorsement, or guarantee of any business's work, insurance, licensing or conduct. Always verify details and get written quotes before hiring.

Who is responsible if there is a dispute with a business?

You are responsible for choosing and dealing with any business. WaterproofingIndex is not liable for the quality, safety, timing, pricing or legality of work performed by a business you found through the site. Any dispute, claim, damage or loss arising from that relationship is strictly between you and that business. We encourage you to confirm insurance, references and written contracts first.

Where do the reviews and photographs come from?

Ratings, reviews and business photographs shown on WaterproofingIndex are sourced from public Google Maps data and remain the property of Google and the individual reviewers and photographers who produced them. Google and Google Maps are trademarks of Google LLC, which does not sponsor or endorse WaterproofingIndex. Business names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners and appear on WaterproofingIndex for identification and directory purposes only.

Who owns the content on WaterproofingIndex?

The WaterproofingIndex name, site design, rankings, written guides and original data compilations are owned by WaterproofingIndex and protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial use with attribution, but you may not scrape, copy, resell or republish our rankings, datasets or content in bulk without written permission. Automated data harvesting of the site is not permitted.

How may you use the site?

Use WaterproofingIndexto research and contact businesses for genuine purposes. You may not use the site to send spam, harvest contact details for bulk outreach, impersonate others, or interfere with the site's operation or security. We may block access that appears fraudulent or abusive, to protect both readers and the businesses listed.

If you own a listed business

Listings are compiled from public information and appear without payment. No business pays to be listed and none can pay to rank. Corrections and removals are handled on request, and a request needs no reason. A contact address for WaterproofingIndex is not published yet, because mail on this domain does not resolve. It will be published on the contact page once it works, and requests sent to it will be actioned on the listing.

What are the limits of WaterproofingIndex's liability?

To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario law, WaterproofingIndex is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or any business relationship formed after using it, and our total liability for any claim is limited to CAD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Can these terms change?

WaterproofingIndex may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the revised terms here with a new effective date. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. We recommend reviewing this page and our privacy policy periodically.

What law governs these terms?

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that the courts located in Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute relating to WaterproofingIndex or these terms. There is no published address for questions about these terms yet.
