WaterproofingIndex
Free listing, position never sold

A free listing, and no invoice behind it

Last updated: By Below-Grade Records Desk

WaterproofingIndex lists 384 Greater Toronto Area below-grade companies across 6 categories and orders them by public Google review data. If you waterproof basements, repair foundations or install drainage in the GTA, you belong on it. There is nothing to buy, nothing to sign and no lead fee waiting at the end.

How a company ends up on this site

1. The profile already exists

Eligible below-grade companies are added from public records during each dataset build. Nobody has to apply, and nothing is charged.

2. Position comes from the formula

Category and area pages order companies by a Bayesian-adjusted Google rating plus record completeness. The arithmetic is published in full.

3. Homeowners phone you

Your own number and website sit on your profile. There is no form in between, so the call arrives from the homeowner, not from us.

Why it is worth sending us a correction

A profile built only from public records shows what the public record happens to hold. That is often thin, occasionally out of date, and sometimes wrong about which below-grade services you actually offer. Telling us what to change costs you one message and makes the page match the business.

  • The phone number a homeowner will actually reach you on
  • The below-grade services you offer, rather than a single scraped label
  • The areas you really cover, so you are listed where you work
  • Removal, in full, if you would rather not be listed at all

There is no price list for position

Every directory that sells placement eventually stops being read, because homeowners work out that the top of the page is the top bidder. Here the order is produced by one published formula over public review data, and the site earns nothing from any listed company. That is what makes a free listing worth having: the position beside your name means something.

Contractor questions, answered

What does a listing cost?

Nothing, in any form. There is no subscription, no featured tier, no per-lead charge and no invoice to expect. The directory is only useful to a homeowner if it holds every real company in the trade, and charging for entry would guarantee it did not.

Do you sell my details or forward enquiries?

No. This site collects nothing from readers and sends nothing to contractors. There is no lead pipeline here to be sold into or bought out of. A homeowner reads your profile and dials your number.

How much work will being listed bring me?

Unknown, and any figure quoted here would be invented. The directory publishes no traffic promises, no conversion claims and no volume estimates. What it can promise is that the page describing you is accurate if you tell us what is wrong with it.

Can I pay to appear higher?

No, and the formula has no place to put the money. Position is a Bayesian-adjusted Google rating plus four small boosts for how complete a record is. That is the whole calculation, applied identically to every listing, and it is published so anyone can check it.

My profile has the wrong details. Now what?

Records are built from public sources as of the August 2026 dataset, so a phone number, a category or a service area can be out of date. Send the business name and the correction and the record is fixed or, if you prefer, removed entirely. The contact page has the current process.

Corrections are not open yet

A contact address for WaterproofingIndex is not published yet. Once one is, it will appear on the contact page, and a correction or removal request sent to it will be actioned on the listing. Nothing needs to be sent anywhere in the meantime.
